This is good news!
The Muckleshoot Tribe has purchased a land base of 150 square acres. This forest land is in King, Pierce, and Lewis county and stretches along highway 410 between Enumclaw and Greenwater.
Tribal Chairwoman Virginia Cross says that the purchase is the tribe requiring their homelands, diversifying their economy. The proposal of the land is to be managed for sustainable timber harvesting.
Congratulations to the Muckleshoot Nation for this success, may the Creator bless this land and our Mother watch over it.
